Randy Schwickert graduated from Northwestern University in 1968 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. He graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1974 after serving in the U.S. Army. He has been a member of the Minnesota Bar and Montana Bar since then. He was a deputy County Attorney for Flathead County specializing in child abuse and neglect and juvenile justice cases as well as elder protection until 2001. He has also maintained a private practice since 1975 with emphasis on family and small business issues.
Randy has mediated since 1991 and received training at CDR Associates in Boulder, Colorado. Currently, mediation represents two-thirds of his practice and primarily involves family law disputes with additional experience in arbitration, workplace and business relationship disputes and appellate mediation. The remainder of his legal practice involves real estate, wills, probates, guardianships and adoptions.
Randy assisted in the creation and development of the Flathead County Justice Court mediation program as well as the Peer Mediation program at the Whitefish Middle School. He has performed services as a trainer and group facilitator.
